Hybrid / Remote Work Leadership

The way we work has changed forever. Even in funeral service, where much of the work is in-person, there are roles—from administration to preneed planning—that can operate remotely. Leaders must learn to manage hybrid teams with clear communication, accountability, and connection.

Hybrid leadership requires intentionality: regular check-ins, shared goals, and digital collaboration tools. Done right, it expands talent pools and offers flexibility that staff value. Done poorly, it leads to disconnect and frustration. Leaders who master hybrid leadership strengthen both their teams and their reach.
